I just read this great quote about Apple computers:
“Apples are just not real computers. They’re the piano accordion of the computing world, entertaining, but not made for professionals.”

I had a go at the Team Fortress 2 beta last night and this is one fun game. It looks great as well, you wouldn’t think that the cartoony feel would work for an FPS (First Person Shooter) but it does. You can also see how well (and badly) I’m doing by visiting my stats page.

I don’t usually like posting links to videos on youtube, but I found this one quite funny. It was done by the people who create the Looking for Group comic, which you probably won’t find funny unless you like computer games.
Warning: There is some cartoon violence.

I’ve recently setup my MP3 player to use last.fm, this makes a record of every song that you listen to. You can see my “Artist Quilt” on the right-hand side of this page. There are a lot of duplicates at the moment because I haven’t been logging the results for a while, but it should be interesting to look at after a few months listening. You can also check out my profile page here: http://www.last.fm/user/wooglie. Let me know if you are using this already and we can compare.

[Computery Geekery Warning
I’ve recently been making a couple of changes to my computer. I bought some new memory in February, a larger hard disk a while back and most recently a new power supply. With the new power supply and memory I’ve been overclocking my processor. Overclocking is making your computer run faster than it should and it’s something I’ve been doing for a few years now, as it means you can get a faster computer for less money. Well I managed to reach some stupidly high speeds recently. My CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Processor) is supposed to run at 1.86 GHz and I managed to get it up to 3GHz.
You can click to see more details.
As an example the orange CPU in the above comparision is worth about £400 more than the CPU I bought, the red one 😀
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
